Wedding Photography Training

Delivery method for this course will be practical photography sessions and online sessions at agreed times. Contributing tutors are Graham McCallion, professional photographer from Swindon, George Mahoney, professional photographer from Glasgow and Billy McCallion, professional photographer from Glasgow.

Course Outline: To provide John Wheatley College photography students with the necessary skills to photograph a wedding and provide an income from their photography to support either their studies at higher education or as a freelance photographer.

Camera equipment
Planning a wedding
Wedding photograph list
Creative image making
Working with photoshop
Location portraiture
Using available light
Artificial light techniques
Weather conditions
Personal presentation
Pricing structures
Image presentation

George Mahoney has agreed to take a one or two students to a wedding every week from March/April 2010.

A competition will be held at an agreed location during the course and one student will win a trip to Graham McCallion Photography to see a working business wedding photography first hand.
